The Composer Pro’s metal swivel ball design and refined focus mechanism deliver ultra-smooth focus and tilt control. The updated focus mechanism features a fluid and accurate dampened focus ring comparable to the focus mechanisms of the highest quality professional manual focus lenses.
This smooth, fluid operation makes the Composer Pro the perfect choice for discerning professional photographers and videographers who want to create ground-breaking creative imagery.
The Composer Pro ships with the Double Glass Optic installed. Each optic delivers a sweet spot of sharp focus that photographers can move around the photo by tilting the Composer Pro’s swiveling lens body. The Double Glass Optic, a 50mm selective focus optic with drop-in aperture discs, provides a tack-sharp Sweet Spot of focus with minimum diffusion at all aperture settings.
Great when used with Sweet 35 Optic or Edge 80 Optic.

Very beautiful, ethereal photos (at least to me) with double optic first time out. As older photographer with less than perfect eyes, I worried about finding sweet spot and manual focus, I've had no problems. Lensbaby customer service exceeds expectations.

An amazing step up in the lensbaby line. Truely a high quality lens body with a great double glass optic. Capable of making incredible photos. I highly recommend for many uses including environmental portraiture.

I have been a professional advertising photographer for 19 years. The style of shooting which became my signiture image evolved from a 4/5 large format camera loaded with Agva Scala B+w film. As the digital format replaced film so did the demand for the expensive large format camera. Despite all this change, my clients were still wanting the esthethic imagery that could only be created with my per digital gear. On a lark I purchased the Composer Pro while on vacation as I had a Sony A100 body but forgot to pack a lens. 5 days of playing with this lens yielded me with near perfect replacement of my large format B+W imagery. This lens is genius in achieving unique images. I even added a high quality video attachment wide angle screw on lens which further extended a subtle softness which when combined with a Composer pro without a aperture ring yielded me 100 % control of final image quality.

This lens is AMAZING! I started off with the Original Lens baby(bought it 3 yrs ago) and always loved the look of the photographs, but it was kind of hard to nail the "sweet spot." With the Composer Pro it is SO easy! The lens is sharp, the tilt is smooth, very easy to use, and the effect is amazing!

I have used it for a few days now and it is very easy to use. Focus and tilting is smooth.
Changing optics is a bit tricky when lens is mounted on camera. Also bit tricky to store the optic in its plastic container.
This could be improved like this: Make a bayonet mount on the outside of the optics that fits the mounting tool. The optic would then be mounted to the bottom (the mounting tool) of the plastic container while stored. As it is now the optic is rattling in the container. It would also be much easier to mount optics to the lens.

I love it. I don't know how I am going to get it off my camera because my body camera seems to have fallen in love with this baby. It took me about an hour to get the result I wanted from it cause you have to think a different way if you are either a professional photographer or just someone who has a camera sticking all the time on the face.
If you take pictures occasionally I think you'll adjust pretty fast (maybe 5 or 10 minutes). It is worth each dollar you pay for this.
The build quality, as it has been said previously, is one that make you feel confident in this "toy".
BUY IT!
I have been playing with IR so far and I thought it was all that I was going to do this summer but here it came. This lens is going to entertain me for even longer I think.

This is my first Lensbaby lens. I was surprised at the build quality and the smoothness of tilting and focusing. Very user-friendly product.
