Creative aperture disks have shapes cut out of them, and drop into the front of a Lensbaby lens just like regular Lensbaby aperture disks. The shape will appear anywhere bright points of light are out of focus (ie, decorative lights at night or the sun shining through leaves) in an image. This effect is visible through the viewfinder. 

The Creative Aperture Kit 2 is compatible with the Lensbaby Double Glass, Single Glass, Plastic and Soft Focus Optics.  Not compatible with Sweet 35, Edge 80, Fisheye or Pinhole/Zone Plate Optics and Spark. 

The shapes in the Creative Aperture Kit 2 include one of each of the following: birds, diamonds, dripsplat, heart, slots, star, swirly, sunburst and whirlpool.  Several of these shapes were created by Lensbaby photographers and chosen via a contest. The winners include Troy Eiffert (slots), Ivan DeWolf (dripsplat), Jerrid Jones (diamonds), Andrew Kua (swirly) and Bjørn Rannestad (whirlpool).
